Jennifer Zinck, CG®, AG®
Jennifer Zinck is a Certified Genealogist® and Accredited Genealogist® with more than twenty years of research experience. She serves as a Trustee for the Board for Certification of Genealogists®, is currently in her fifth term as President of the Connecticut Professional Genealogists Council, and serves on the Board of Governors of the Connecticut Society of Genealogists. She has also been a member of the Genetic Genealogy Standards Committee.
A researcher, writer, editor, and educator, Jennifer specializes in Connecticut resources and the use of DNA evidence in genealogical research. She taught for twenty semesters at Boston University’s Metropolitan College, primarily instructing the Forensic Genealogy module in the Genealogical Research Certificate Program. Jennifer regularly presents at conferences and professional events on topics including methodology, genetic genealogy, and technology for genealogists.
Jennifer is passionate about continuing education and professional development, viewing both as essential to high-quality genealogical work. She earned a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Project Management in 2007, applying those skills to organize, evaluate, and communicate complex genealogical evidence. Her research report from her Board for Certification of Genealogists portfolio and her four-generation project for ICAPGen were each selected as exemplary work samples, and her case study for Excelsior College’s Practicum in Genealogical Research was later used as the foundation for a new module in the program. These recognitions reflect her ongoing commitment to excellence in research and education.
